Organo gold is a network marketing company founded by Bernie Chua of the Philippines and launched in the US in June 2008. Bernie has literally been preparing for a lifetime to give the world Organo Gold. Bernie is now credited with introducing the concept of “Healthier Coffee” and “Ganoderma” to North America and the world on a mass scale.
 
Among his distributor peers, Bernie is considered a legend in the Direct Sales Industry. He built a 500,000 Member Direct Sales Organization in the Philippines. Among worldwide executives, Bernie is often sought after for his years and years of experience as a trusted CEO and 5 time winner of the “Direct Sales Company of the Year” award for The Pacific Rim and Asia out of more than 1,600 companies.

Products:

It markets various health products including gourmet coffee (black, latte, and mocha), tea and hot chocolate. The organo gold coffee has gained a lot of hype and popularity in the coffee drinking community. All the products are prepared of reishi mushroom, botanically known as Ganoderma lucidum which is a herb well known for its medicinal properties, especially in Chinese traditional medicines.  You can start as a distributor for less than $100 and be compensated in one of seven ways to earn money.

Pros:

• Unique product line that can’t be purchased elsewhere

• Decent compensation plan that pays out in seven ways

• Many people drink coffee and would drink even more if it were nutritional
  

• Organo Gold Products seem to be reputable and well researched

• Company has been doing well and sales have soared in a short period of time

• Products are ones that need to be replaced, so there should be many re-purchases

Cons:

• Unsure of medicinal benefits of products as indicated on their website

• Regular coffee is available everywhere, so why buy through MLM

• Coffee is not competitively priced with regular coffee products    

• Organo gold doesn’t have name recognition

• Company is based in the Philippines and not in the United States.

• Doesn’t list ingredients on products which is important to American consumers
• Primary marketing strategy is "Friends and Family" approach... this is the quickest way to burn out

Conclusion:

Organo Gold is a fairly new MLM which seems to be doing well; they do not have a lot of complaints about their products or their marketing efforts.  They also have a nice compensation plan, which, for a new company can be a great benefit to the new reps.  Coffee can be purchased anywhere, but these products claim to offer nutritional value, so they’re unique.  On the other hand, the friends and family marketing approach is a major turn off.  Few Organo Gold reps succeed, so check out the total plan before signing on.
