Isagenix Business Review
Posted by Fenix Skai
Background:
Isagenix, another "Health and Wellness" marketing business, is a fairly new company. The company was founded in 2002 by John Anderson and Jim & Kathy Coover. John Anderson worked as a formulator with hundreds of companies and has created thousands of nutritional and weight-loss products. Jim Coover contributed his business insights and Kathy Coover focused on the marketing. Combined, they created a very profitable enterprise. Their primary product is a nine-day colon cleansing system but the company offers a wide range of nutritional supplements as well.
Products:
Isagenix specializes in the sale of Cleansing, Rejuvenating, Nutritional and Skin Care Products such as: Colon Cleansers, Fiber Pro, C-Lyte and Anti Aging Creams. In total, Isagenix has well over 50 nutritional and personal care items within its product portfolio.
Pros:
- Fairly low start-up cost, you can start your business for less than $40
- Earning retail profits of up to 33% and additional Team Bonuses
- Awesome products if you're looking to cleanse your body or lose weight
- Fairly new company so still potential for growth
- Quick and fairly simple to get up and running within days
- Product can be sold in the United States and Internationally
Cons:
- Binary comp plan, not a big fan of these as they take too long to make real money
- Primary training is a DVD and one live event... you may lose many before they ever get going
- Subpar "Closing Strategy," days of herding people to a teleconference or webinar are gone and proven to be very ineffective
- No real marketing strategy... still taking the Friends & Family, House Party and Hotel Meetings approach that many have grown to despise
- Your success is still dependant upon your recruits duplicating you (this hurts superstar sellers)
- No big ticket items, thus you need dozens of new targeted leads per day to generate real income

Conclusion:
In conclusion, Isagenix has great products that help people lose weight and live a healthier lifestyle. Isagenix has a low entry fee and the profit margins per sale are some of the industry's best. The fact that this is a fairly new company with open markets in both the US and abroad, makes this very attractive. The downside however is the fact that it will take potentially 2-3 years to build this business to a six figure per year income. Furthermore, people are really frustrated with the friends and family marketing approach. On top of that the training is very generic and could stall many right out the gates. Overall, I really like Isagenix; however, this is one that you absolutely have to believe in to succeed in.
