XanGo Business Review

Posted by Patrick Edwards

Background:

XanGo, often compared to Noni Juice, was founded on the bedrock of organized originality. On September 11, 2002, six men created an entirely new product category, laying the groundwork for an opportunity that would span the spectrum of wellness. The product was XanGo® Juice. The company is XANGO, LLC.

To XanGo, wellness is a word limitless in its positive implications. They don’t believe wellness should be restricted to merely the physical or emotional, the mental or the spiritual—they believe wellness should cover even the financial and social aspects of life. XanGo's desire to provide complete wellness has come from a constant urge to innovate and create. Based in Utah, XanGo is privately owned and powered by a global network of over 1,000,000 independent Distributors. XanGo's expansive operations include the U.S. and numerous international markets such as Canada, Mexico, Russia, Germany, Portugal, Malaysia, Spain and many others.

Products:

XanGo specializes in the sale of Nutritional Juices, Meal Replacement Shakes, Skin Care, Mangosteen Oils and Personal Care Products such as: Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, Body Lotion, Gels and Moisturizing Creams.  In total, XanGo has over 30 nutritional and personal care items within its product portfolio.

Pros:

  • Fairly low start-up cost, you can start your business for less than $55
  • Plug into the National Radio Marketing
  • Product Line has a loyal following and Xango Juice actually taste pretty good
  • Really a very low risk business model
  • Quick and fairly simple to get up and running within days
  • "Push Button Duplication" which helps others get started quickly

Cons:

  • Semi-complex compensation plan that generates $1500 per year for the average consultant
  • Low risk but also low reward, takes roughly 12-24 months to make decent income
  • Mediocre Closing Strategy days of herding people to a teleconference or webinar are gone
  • Although there are over 30 products, many are the same product in varying flavors (thus the product offering is somewhat limited)
  • Your success is still dependant upon your recruits duplicating you (this hurts superstar sellers)
  • No big ticket items, thus you need 50 new targeted leads per day to generate real income

XanGo Business Rating (High Score is 40):

Conclusion:

In conclusion, XanGo has great products that people actually want and like.  XanGo has a great plug and play marketing strategy with a loyal following.  Furthermore, the "push button duplication" is a swell feature.  However, it appears that XanGo is more "glitter" than "gold."  Roughly 97% of those that join companies like XanGo end up quitting long before they every see substantial (if any) profits.  That being said, if you feel you are in the 3% that can and will make this opportunity work for you, then give it a serious look.
